Francisco Javier Sierra Balderas was born July 17th, 1996 in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. He lived with his mother in Mexico until 1999 when his father returned to take them to the United States. He has lived in the historically Latino Decoto community of Union City, CA since the age of seven. Francisco Sierra is an interper for the James Logan High School Speech and Debate team in Union City, CA, where he has competed for four years. Francisco’s strongest event is Duo, in which he has competed for four years. In this event he semi-finaled at the NFL National Tournament, received 3rd at the NCFL National Tournament, 2nd at the National Individual Event Tournament of Champions, and 2nd at the MLK Invitational. Sierra and his partner were ranked as one of the top Duo teams in the nation and placed in the semifinals at the NFL National Tournament in Overland Park, KS.
